The basic eligibility to apply to the PhD course is a PG degree in the relevant stream with a 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in BTech/ Mtech from any recognised university or 85% in BTech from any NIT/ IIT/ IIIT/ Other CFTIs. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA will be considered. Further, the selection procedure includes appearing for the Institute based entrance exam and personal interview.

However, according to EFLU Hyderabad NIRF report 2023, a total of 26 students were placed out of 348 students during EFLU Hyderabad PG 2-year placements 2022. Further, the trends witnessed during EFLU Hyderabad PG 2-year placements over the past three years with respect to the total students and number of students placed are presented below:
