The University of Mumbai offers two-year MA and MA (Hons) programmes in multiple specialisations to students at the postgraduate level. Out of these, MA General has 27 specialisations under it, namely Hindi, History, Economics and Arabic, among others. Admission to a majority of MA specialisations is based on university-conducted/ college-specific entrance exams. For remaining MA specialisations and MA (Hons) programmes, admission is subject to merit scores obtained by the students in the last qualifying degree exams. To be eligible for all these courses, students must have passed their graduate degrees in the relevant stream they wish to get into during their master's course. 

Candidates seeking admission to PhD are either required to appear for PhD Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university for admission. Also, those with a valid score in NET/ SET/ GATE/ JRF examination of the apex bodies in such as CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ ICAR for admission are exempted from the PET conducted by MU and are offered admission on the basis of these afore-mentioned exams. As per eligibility criteria, students must have completed their masters' degree with at least 55% aggregate. The selection procedure for the PhD admission at MU is as follows:

Step 1: The candidate's application form is screened and shortlisted based on students' academic record and research aptitude.

Step 2: The shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview and the final selection is based on their performance in the interview and the PET/ other relevant accepting entrance exam.

Maharaja Agrasen University in Solan, Himachal Pradesh offers 57 courses with an average fee of INR 1,11,500 per year. The top courses offered are BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, M.Phil/Ph.D in Engineering.2 The university has not released the 2023 placement statistics yet, but according to the NIRF report 2022, 84 UG and 107 integrated PG students were placed during the same year. The median package for UG courses ranged between INR 2.28 LPA and INR 3.69 LPA, respectively. For PG courses, the median package offered during the same year ranged between INR 3.25 LPA and INR 3.9 LPA.0 Admission to UG courses at Maharaja Agrasen College in New Delhi is based on CUET scores and must have passed or appeared on the 12th board. The college also gives reservations for OBC NCL, SC, and ST quotas for all updates given on the Delhi University site.1
