Diploma in Journalism is a 2-year Diploma course pursued after the successful completion of the 10+2 level of education from a recognised educational Board, with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. The average course fee charged for Diploma in Journalism course by various institutes ranges from INR 10,000 to 5 Lacs. The course involves advanced professional learning in writing news for newspapers, magazines, broadcasting news on radio or television, dissemination of information about current events, trends, issues, and people. Diploma in Journalism: Eligibility : Listed below are the minimum criteria which candidates interested in pursuing the course are required to fulfill, in order to be eligible to apply for Diploma in Journalism course.
1. Successful qualification of the 10+2 level of education in any stream, from a recognised educational Board.
2. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level.

Admission of students into the autonomous degree courses will be on the basis of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination for both the under- graduate and the post-graduate courses, unless specified otherwise.
?All applications for admissions should be submitted online by the date notified by the college. Late applications will not be accepted.
?The admission procedure will be considered complete only when the full fees for the academic year are paid (against an official receipt) and the name of the student applicant appears on the relevant rolls. All UG and PG admissions are valid for only one year and therefore it would have to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.
?All admissions are provisional and subject to enrolment and granting of eligibility by the University of Mumbai.
?A student will not be readmitted to the college if he/she has attendance deficiencies and serious complaints of indiscipline against him/her in the previous year.
?The college is conferred with Gujarati linguistic minority status by the Government of Maharastra under which 50% of the seats the entry level are reserved for the foresaid linguistic minority, (after admitting in-house students for undergraduate aided courses viz. F.Y. B.A /B.Com / B.Sc ONLY). NO in-house quota is applicable for admissions to unaided courses. The remaining seats are allotted as per merit and according to other norms laid down by the Government from time to time.
