Candidates who have completed twelve years of school education with a 40% aggregate are eligible to apply for the BA course at Madras University. Students can apply directly on the official website of the university's affiliated colleges. They are required to register and fill out the online /offline application form.

The eligibility criteria for PhD Management and Commerce programme offered by School of Business Management NIU is that the candidates must have a master's degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate and a bachelor degree with atleast 75% marks in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% marks may be given to candidates from SC/ST or EWS category. NIU does not offer any direct admission in the courses candidates have to give an entrance exam conducted by the college.
