IBS Kolkata fee structure for different programmes lies between INR 909,000 and INR 909,000. While candidates can pay the fee annually or semester-wise depending on the ask during IBS Kolkata admissions, there are a few components which are paid only once, namely one-time fee. The below table mentions the total tuition fee that students are required to pay at IBS Kolkata for all courses. Students who wish to take out the annual or semester fee amount can divide the amount by the number of years the course is valid for (for annual fee) and by double the number of years the course is valid for (to calculate the semester-wise fee).

If we compare IBS Kolkata to IBS Pune, we will see that both the colleges have similar tuition fees of INR 9.09 lakh but IBS Pune’s highest salary package offered is more than IBS Kolkata. This means the top salary packages offered in IBS Pune placements are more than the top salary packages offered in IBS Kolkata placements.

If we look at the IBS Pune placements 2024, the average salary package offered is more than the average salary package offered in IBS Kolkata. Therefore, IBS Pune offers a better return on investment than IBS Kolkata even though both have the same tuition fees.

If we compare the difference between the tuition fees and the highest salary package of IBS Kolkata, IBS Bangalore, and IBS Pune we will find that IBS Pune and IBS Kolkata are the only universities with a net positive ratio between tuition fees and the highest salary package offered.

The highest salary package of IBS Bangalore and IBS Kolkata might be the same at INR 10 LPA but the tuition fee of IBS Bangalore is much higher. Thus IBS Bangalore is a net negative in terms of the ratio of tuition fees to the highest salary package.

I feel ECMT is way ahead of its direct competitors such as IBS Hyderabad. If I compare IMI Kolkata’s batch size, it’s around 188 strong which is way smaller than the humongous 1100 batch size of IBS Hyderabad. In terms of placements, IMI Kolkata holds the prestigious record of 100% placement since inception which is not the case for IBS Hyderabad as they could place only around 90% of its students as this significant difference in batch strength makes the competition for getting placed even bigger in IBS Hyderabad. ECMT Kolkata has a strong corporate connect due to the IMI brand being India’s first Corporate-sponsored
