The institute attracted 55 recruiters for its 2023 placement session who offered a variety of job roles to the students across sectors, such as BFSI, IT, Education, FMCG, Consulting, and E-Commerce, etc. The top recruiters of IFMR in 2023 included Barclays, Deloitte, Wells Fargo, EY, HSBC India, Morgan Stanley, NOMURA, TVS NEXT, Societe Generale, Axis Bank, Cognizant, Accenture, JPMC, etc. These recruiters placed students in various sectors and offered new-age job profiles.

As per the placement report 2023, the IFMR average package offered during the 2023 placements drive stood INR 13.50 LPA. Earlier in 2022, the average package offered stood at INR 11.21 LPA. Thus, a rise of 16% in the average package was observed in 2023 when compared with 2022. Going back to 2021 placements, the average package offered stood at INR 10 LPA.

IFMR offers good placements for its MBA course annually. In 2023, the institute recorded 100% placements for its MBA cohort of 2021-23. A total of 55 recruiters participated in the placement process and placed all 184 students in new-age job roles. The highest and average package offered during IFMR placements 2023 stood at INR 22.90 LPA and INR 13.50 LPA, respectively. Both the B Schools are good. However, IFMR GSB will have an edge here - 1. Offers MBA degree under Krea University where Great Lakes offers a PGDM program. 2. IFMR GSB is a much older B School with a wider alumni network across the globe. 3. Tuition fees of GLIM are higher than IFMR GSB . 4. IFMR GSB is headed by top industrialists of the nation. 5. Campus located on the outskirts of Chennai in the industrial hub.
