In the first year, the students get a good grounding across all management disciplines. They then undergo a rigorous two-month summer internship in an organisation. In the second year, the specialisation streams available are Finance, Marketing, IT & Operations, HR, and Financial Engineering, with additional specialisations in Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and Data Sciences (i.e. Business Analytics).

IFMR is a better option amongst these colleges. It has a 100% placement record with average package around Rs. 9 lakhs and it is among few B-schools which offers PGDM in financial engineering.

Most of the freshers get packages around Rs 7-9 lakhs per annum and some of them have even got 10+ lakhs per annum.As on December 31,2016 average package in IFMR is Rs 9 lakhs per annum.
