IIMC offers PG Diploma which you can do after graduation. A graduate in any discipline can apply JMI which offers BJMC.

I would say that a comprehensive plan in studies will help you reach your target. The time table for the study plan should be in tune with your daily needs and schedule. As far as the preparation is concerned, I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday at reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. And for GK, you can refer Competition Success Review for updates on current affairs. You may also refer the following books:

Mass Communication and Journalism Entrance Examination by Dheeraj Pandey
Guide to Journalism and Mass Communication Entrance Examination by S

IIMC's placement cell is also very active and students have been placed in all reputed media organisations. To get admission in IIM A, B, C, it is mandatory to take CAT and achieve a good score. Simply, looking at the percentages, it is very difficult to guess, if you can get a call. In case, you secure a good CAT score, your application rating should be good considering these scores.
