You do get to study subjects that will help you with basic knowledge of Forests, which is asked in IFS exam. Apart from that some of our faculties themselves are from IFS cadre and can guide you in the right direction. Being a management course this will help you in dealing with day-to-day situations if you do get selected in IFS. These are the only indirect benefit you get from IIFM in your quest to be an IFS. No direct benefit in terms of quota or visibility.

A Bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks and Masters degree (minimum two years prescribed duration after 10+2+3 years of formal education) in relevant discipline (relevancy has to be decided by the IIFM) with minimum 55% marks (absolute) including Five year/Four-year Integrated Master's Degree programme. IIFM will use XAT score for short-listing the candidates for calling for GD/PI. Yes, IIFM is Government Institute under the Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change. IIFM is one of the best B School in Sectoral category with best return on investment. It has one of the best and affordable fee structure.

IIFM course fee for PGDFM (MBA equivalent) is INR 4.8 lacs for the entire course (general candidate) with average placements of INR 6.97 lacs for 2018 passing out batch.

Hi,
Selection procedure for IIFM's PGDFM course gives weightage only to CAT percentile, Interview and Written Ability Test in the ratio of 60:25:15 respectively. Past academics don't play any role as such.
