IGNTU offers BSc as a 3 year programme in various specialisations in full-time mode. Admission to the respective course is offered on the basis of merit and valid scores of CUET UG. The University offers an annual intake of 163 students with a bifurcation of 25 to 38 per specialisation.

IGNTU offers admission to various UG, PG, and Doctoral level courses on the basis of entrance. Candidates must clear CUET UG or CUET PG as per the preferred course. A major challenge for candidates during the admission process is the cutoff criteria. Since the final admissions are offered on the basis of cutoff.

Placement opportunities for B.Sc. graduates at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) are moderate and also depend much on course specialisation and individual skills.
