The seat allotment to UCEED participating colleges will be through the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay. Note that only such candidates who have been allocated a merit rank in UCEED are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process.
The allotment of seats will be on the basis of merit rank of the candidate in UCEED and the college option opted at the time of counseling registration.

Open category - 15 seats
EWS - 3 seats
OBC-NCL - 10 seats
SC - 5 seats
ST - 2 seats
ST-PwD - 1 seat
Note that candidates belonging to open category will not be considered for admission under other categories. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will also be considered for admission under open category.

The result-sharing institutes of UCEED will offer admission to some of their B. Des seats based on UCEED scores. However, they will not participate in the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay.

Admission to the B. Des programme at UCEED participating colleges will be on the basis of UCEED merit rank. So, candidates with a higher rank will get preference in the seat allotment process. The admission committee will also consider the college option opted by the candidate and their order of priority.

The candidate has to select a participating institute at the time of filling the UCEED 2026 counseling application form. The allotment of seats will be based on the merit rank of the candidate in UCEED 2026 and college option opted for at the time of registration. The admission committee will given preference to the higher ranked candidate in the allotment process. So, to give oneself a better chance of getting admission to ones preferred college, one must try to get a higher rank.

Improve your drawing skills - Practice free-hand drawing. Use 2 grades of pencil - H-grade to do rough work and B to do quick sketch and shading. Work on improving your creativity and be innovative
Solve previous years question papers to improve problem-solving and time-management skills. Understand the basic concept of drawing, and learn various forms of drawing - composition, proportion, line drawing, etc. Taking mock tests will help the candidate get an idea as to how much time it takes to solve a section or question.

Here are a few tips to follow in the last few weeks leading up to the UCEED 2024 exam:
Focus these last few days on revision
Solve sample papers. Try to solve at least one sample paper a day. Take mock tests. Do quick revision of important topics. After taking the mock or solving the sample papers, do a quick analysis and SEE if there are any quick remedies to costly errors. Don't start any new topic. It is because it will eat into cru

If you have maintained a note, ensure you regularly go through the important points
Do timely revision of all the topics, especially the sticky concepts
Solve as many sample papers you can. Also take knock tests to get into the exam mood. Mocks will help you get an exam like ambience and you can get an idea as to how the question paper would be look like, the sections you need to attempt first, etc. Pay close attention to your health - sleep the full quote of hours, stay hydrated, do light exercise, and stay happy. It is also a good idea
