Institute of Engineering and Management and NIT - Narula Institute of Technology both are renowned universities for B.E. / B.Tech. However, in terms of affordability, Institute of Engineering and Management is a better option since the total tuition fee for Institute of Engineering and Management is INR 417,400 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at NIT - Narula Institute of Technology is INR 366,359 - INR 699,900.
In the total fees that students generally end up paying the university or the college, various other components are also included, such as the exam fee, application fee, lab and other charges.

No, direct admissions are not available at this institute. To be admitted, candidates must pass the appropriate entrance exam. The IEMJEE is the approved test for BTech, BCA, and BBA programme admission. Additionally, the university takes entrance tests from national and state levels, such as the WB JECA for MCA and the CAT/MAT/JEMAT for MBA. Those who made the shortlist based on exam results must go on to the course-specific selection phase.

IEM Kolkata admission crieteria is entrance-based. Candidates are selected and admitted based on score in the respective entrance exam. For some courses, candidates have to go through some other selection rounds as well. The details around admission stages are mentioned below:

STEP 1: In the first step, candidates have to apply by filling out the application form for the desired programme. The application form can be collected in person from the institute or can be downloaded from the official website. The application process is completely online for some courses.

Additionally, it highlights its excellent student resources, which include free immunizations, study abroad opportunities, and a universal Mediclaim policy.
