JELET (Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry). 

The candidate must also have completed 10+2 education from a recognised board with minimum 50% aggregate for securing a seat in B.Tech.

In the previous academic year of 2022-2023, the highest package recieved for B.Tech graduates was 12LPA and the average package is 5LPA. The most frequent recruiters of FIEM, kolkata is Accenture, PEPSICO, Jockey, tata capital, etc.

The institute has released the combined placement data for BCA and MCA courses. As per the report, 30 students were placed during 2023 placements. Renowned companies like Wipro, Amazon, TCS, etc. recruited the students. Wipro emerged as the top recruiter with 6 students selected.
