It depends on the course in which the student is interested. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Management and Technology offers MSc, MCom, MA, and MBA courses. Admissions for the MBA courses are done based on the scores obtained in the TSICET. The registrations for the exam generally open in the month of March and are currently closed. Admission to all other courses at the college is not based on scores obtained in any entrance exam and is currently open.

To be eligible for admission to the MBA/PGDM course at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Management and Technology, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible students will have to appear for the TSICET exam and score valid marks to be eligible for the course.

The hostels are equipped with geysers, washing machines, water filters and elevators for the convenience of students. Ambedkar Institute of technology, there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. For a four-sharing hostel room, they cost around 92-94k per year with attached bathroom in it. Without attached bathroom, they cost around 83k per year. For rooms with 3 sharing, it costs nearly one Lacs per year for a student.
