The faculty members of BIMSR are 40 qualified and experienced members of the faculty. Currently 32 of the faculty members possess Ph.D while 8 of them possess a master's degree. For MBA/PGDM at Institute, the candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree examination from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks. The application procedures are normally carried out in January and concludes in March. According to the PGP criteria, candidates have to deposit INR 1,200 as an application fee. The cutoffs accepted in the institute are 60%ile to 80%ile and the entrance exams accepted include CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT. For every one seat, about 50-60% of seats are for general candidates, about 20-25% for OBC candidates, and around 10-15% for both SC & ST candidates.

The result date of KMAT, in K.L.E. Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research generally keeps up with the official schedule of KMAT. The results for session one of the 2024 admissions cycle were made public on October 10, 2024 and the results for session two to be declared on November 16, 2024. Candidates shall be able to view results online at the official website of KMAT with details of application number and the date of birth. The cutoff for K.L.E. Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research, KLESIMSR, varies with years and categories. For 2023, the cutoff was around 4617 for General AI in Round 2 and 3565 in Round 1. Cutoffs are an expression of the minimum rank for the admission of a candidate in institutes based on KMAT scores. Admission to KLESIMSR is moderately competitive. It requires an undergraduate degree from any recognised institution with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The main criterion for the selection process is the entrance test scores of KMAT and Karnataka PGCET. The institute also takes into consideration the academic performance of previous years. So, the student has to ensure that his/her academic performance is good in all aspects. Although the admission process is a structured one, availability of seats and the applicants can make it more difficult, hence making the examination preparation very essential for aspirants.
