There are many interdepartmental, sporting and cultural day fests here along with the infamous Annual Cultural fest of the college which gets more than 1200 students in its Organizing Committee.

Jai Hind is known for being one of the oldest colleges in the luxuriant area of South Bombay. It has a number of well known alumni with an exceptional placements quality to boast.

Jai Hind College offers one year post graduate programs in mass media, M.Sc. And M.Com.

With Fraser Valley & Carleton University in Canada, Jai Hind College collaborates internationally. It also has a long-standing MOU with Fraser Valley University in the areas of IT & computer Science. Additionally, it provides its students with access to the Association of Asia Scholars for International Relations and the Sumitomo Japanese Scholarship.

It depends, if a student fails in upto four courses across both semesters across one academic year, they get allowed to keep terms, ATKT and appear for supplementary exam in the subsequent semester. However, if a student fails in more than four courses, they will be declared Fail in that particular academic year.

Jai Hind College offers a respectable and fairly populated student body that contributes a wide range of skills and abilities to the college.

Every year, the college posts three merit lists online on their website over the course of a month.

CGPI (Cumulative Grade Point Performance Index) is counted, as per the recommendations of UGC by taking into consideration all the courses registered by a student over the course of the semester which is divided into two Continuous Assessments and one SEE (Semester End Examination). .

Its student body is varied and comes from quite different financial backgrounds, this college has a very good and has affordable tuition for both aided and unaided courses.
