General criteria for BA Economics at St. Xavier's College Ranchi is at least 50% marks in aggregate in class 12 arts with economics as a subject or at least 55% marks in aggregate in class 12 Inter commerce / science stream. For BA Economics Hons Arts students must have at least 50% marks in Economics in class 12 or equivalent examination & students must have pass marks in mathematics in class 12.

Bsc Biotechnology is one of the popular courses offered by St. Xavier's College Ranchi.  The course fee ranges between Rs 83,000 to 92,000 based on different categories. Additional fees like that of hostel can also be applied if one opts for it.
