The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing M.Sc Psychology is having a graduation degree in any stream. However, many of the reputed universities demand graduation degree with Honors in Psychology or Psychology as one of the subjects studied in graduation from any of the recognized college/university. Some even ask for a minimum of 45-50% marks in graduation as qualifying criteria to secure admission in this course and some also conduct an entrance examination. Other Options that can help you in knowing- how to become psychologist in India:
-You can enroll into one year Diploma course in psychology under guidance and counseling. -Opt for certification courses (6 months- 1 year) after you have completed your graduation, conducted by qualified psychologists and afterwards, you can become a member of Association of Professional Psychologists. Therefore, minimum qualification required in becoming a psychologist or counselor is to get degree in any stream with an added Diploma course in psychology or get membership in Association of Professional Psychologists. *Psychology, as a career is in great demand and provides with a multiple scope in this field.
