The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE and R.V. College of Engineering are 2400 and 1300, respectively. While Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE offers this course in 33 specialisations, R.V. College of Engineering offers the same in 17 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE due to higher seats.

While, the Median package offered by PES University after completion of B.Sc. is INR 324,000 - INR 750,000. Basis these stats, Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE is better option compared to PES University on the Median salary parameter.

MET is conducted for admission to BTech at Manipal Institute of Technology. As per the last year, the closing ranks for MET Round 1 was 1083, for Round 2 was 1432 and finally Round 3 Seat Allotment for BTech Computer Science and Technology was 1602. Candidates with a rank of 1500 in MET can expect to get admission in BTech Computer Science and Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology in the closing rounds as the initial round cutoffs are higher. Yes, Manipal Institute of Technology does offer admission to BTech programs through Lateral Entry. It helps students with a Diploma or equivalent qualification to go for second year (third semester) of the BTech program.

MIT offers Lateral Entry for various BTech specializations, including Aeronautical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and more.

MIT Manipal admissions to all the UG & PG courses is entrance-based, except for MCA. In order to get admission to Manipal Institute of Technology, candidates are required to qualify for MET, which is an in-house entrance exam of Manipal University. Manipal Institute of Technology has no provision of direct admission except for the two-year MCA course, where candidates for this PG course is selected based on their merit obtained in the last qualifying exam of undergraduate. A merit list is prepared for candidates seeking admission to MCA based on their past academic records.

The applicant must fulfill the minimal qualifying requirements in order to be admitted to the B.Tech programme at Manipal Institute of Technology. The candidate must secure at least 50% cumulative grade in Science during their class 12. 

For B.Tech Lateral Entry, candidates must, however, have completed a three-year Diploma programme in their chosen engineering stream, awarded by the State Board of Technical Examination, with an minimum of 45% overall, or the equivalent. However, one must have B.Sc degree in Mathematics in class 12 from an accredited university with a minimum of 45% overall, or the equivalent.
