Having a Mass Communication degree is the most relevant option to become a TV anchor, filmmaker, or Content Creator. These job roles are a part of the Mass Communication field, hence, a degree in the same discipline will help you get a strong base knowledge, networking options, hands-on experience through internships or industrial visits, etc.

Though you can get admission to a Mass Communication course regardless of your stream in Class 11 and 12, Humanities or Arts is considered the best for Media courses. This stream has subjects like History, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology that will help you gain a strong base in grasping human behavior, society, politics, etc.

Of course, Mass Media and Communication is a huge field that has something for everyone. Being a Mass Communication student or professional does not mean you'll have to face the screen or the public. No, it is not mandatory, but having a good command of English will open more work opportunities with higher salary options for you. There are many English Newspapers, News channels, YouTube channels, and websites that require professionals with good English.

Hence, the course curriculum and elective subjects of every BA in Mass Communication can vary. No, a BA in Mass Communication is a foundational degree course that provides the base knowledge of many specializations, which you can choose for further studies. At the UG level, you'll need to study all the subjects based on your college's set curriculum. Though there can be some elective subjects that you can choose from.

The CUET exam has a fixed pattern of 3 sections: General Awareness, Aptitude, and Domain-specific. The difficulty of the domain-specific section is based on the subject you choose. The difficulty level of the CUET test is moderate. However, the competition is high with Lacs of students applying for CUET every year.
