The eligibility criteria of BFA (Photography & Visual Communication) of JNAFAU is 10+2. The admission will be based on entrance exam conducted by University. Quantum School of Media Studies and Design (Admission Office) is a part of Quantum University, Roorkee. The university is UGC-approved. Candidates who are interested in the field and want to pursue their career in the industry can join the programme as the school offers a UGC-approved degree, skills, and knowledge required in the field with an industry-driven curriculum. Students are motivated to explore their creative side and to learn from practical experiences at the school.

Quantum School of Media Studies and Design offers two programmes at the UG level. The students pursuing the programme get a degree from Quantum University. The students who want to pursue BA in Journalism and Media Studies must have passed class 12th in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates with the above-mentioned eligibility can also apply for a BSc in Animation and VFX. Candidates who have NID DAT (Prelims) scores are given priority.
