Yes. St. Xavier's College Mumbai is considered as one of the best private Autonomous colleges and is affiliated to University Of Mumbai. The college obtained a good score of 51.14 and 90th overall ranking in India by NIRF.

I think rather than taking a drop you can go to many private colleges which provide an excellent degrees in journalism and mass comm. Some of the universities are-
1. Amity University, Noida
2. Sharda
3. AAFT.
