Hi Debotpal,
First of all, I would recommend you to take the CAT exam rather than MAT in which case you can also try for IIMs. A MAT score of 80 to 90 percentile is good enough for you to get into top MBA colleges which includes Christ University, XIME, IFIM, TAPMI, ISBR and Jain University.

Hi Marcus,
I am sorry to say, but normally you should have at least 50 percentile to get into top colleges rather than settling for average colleges when it comes to MBA. I would advise you to take UPCAT rather than MAT.
All the best.

The score is not that good enough to get calls from very good colleges as your percentile must be around 59, that means 41 percent of the other students who appeared in the exam have scored more than you in the MAT exam. With this percentile, you have a little chance of getting a call from the colleges I am mentioning below:
Indian Institute of Finance, Greater Noida
AIMS Institutes, Bangalore
Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Institute of Management Science, Kolkata
Bhavans Priyamvada Birla Institute of Management, Mysore
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Usha and Lakshmi Mittal Institute of Management, New Delhi
Entrepreneurship and Management Processes Intern

MAT is a national level exam. So, with MAT, you can take admission in PGDM only. The cut-off to get qualified for the interview is usually 85+ percentile. You have to crack the interview after that.
Best of luck.
