Manipal is deemed university with the history of more than 60 years to its credit. It is not funded by the government and does not take any grant from the government also. As a result of this, this university does not have any special weight age given to SC ST candidates or those from the OBC category. However the eligibility is kept at 50% which is so low that I am sure all the students aspiring to become engineers would definitely have obtained. Normally this figure is under wraps. However, Manipal has a good placement record and employers who come normally offer better packages.
