As per the acceptance rate, ETH Zurich is more competitive to get into as its acceptance rate is 27% and Nanyang's acceptance rate is around 47%. NTU is somewhat selective but ETH Zurich is more selective.

Both Nanyang & ETH Zurich are part of the top ranked institutions of their respective countries.

While Nanyang is ranked #2 among all institutions in Singapore, ETH is ranked #1 among all instiututions in Switzerland as part of the latest Shiksha Popularity Rankings.

Though as far as the cost of studies are concerned, ETH Zurich is considerably cheaper for MS studies with a tuition fee of around INR 2.9 L, while a MS programme from Nanyang costs around INR 22.68 L-INR 39.83 L.

Students looking to study in Singapore can expect to incur a decent fortune & studies are not as cheap as in India, though reasonable enough when compared to certain top institutions in Europe & the US.

The tuition fee at both these universities vary with the course & specialisation. The cost of an MS programme at NUS ranges between INR 20.62 L-INR 36.46 L while the same course at Nanyang costs in the range of INR 22.68 L-INR 39.83 L

It can be inferred that MS studies at NUS are slightly cheaper than Nanyang Technlogical University.
