Himachal Pradesh National Law University does not offer direct admission. Candidates are offered seat in the UG and PG courses of the university based on CLAT score. Besides, NLU Shimla conducts an entrance exam for PhD admission. Candidates fulfiling both eligibility and selection criteria are offered admission in the university.

The WB National University of Juridical Sciences applications for UG and LLM courses is via CLAT. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) usually starts the registration by July. The application closes by October. Candidates interested need to fill out the CLAT application form. For all other courses, aspirants need to apply on the university website.

The university considers CLAT score for admission to BA LLB (Hons), BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. NLU Kolkata conducts an entrance test for admission to LLD, MSc and PhD courses.
