NEET counselling or the NEET UG All India counselling and the NEET state counselling process are conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other courses. The NEET UG All India counselling is conducted by MCC for the 15 per cent AIQ seats. The terms Clear Vacancy and Virtual Vacancy are related to the NEET seat matrix, which is released prior to each round of counselling. Clear Vacancy means empty or unclaimed seats at the end of the institute reporting process conducted at the end of each round. After the declaration of the seat allotment result, if a candidate exits the seat, then those seats come under the Clear Vacancy category. On the other hand, Virtual Vacancy refers to the seats which are considered to be available, if candidates allotted those seats opt for upgradation. NEET counselling seat matrix refers to the number of seats offered across the participating institutes for each course. The seat matrix is released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) before the commencement of the counselling process. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the counselling authority for NEET counselling releases the NEET counselling seat allotment result online, in PDF format. The steps to check the result are given below:

  • Visit the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in 

  • Click on the link indicating Result under the Current Events section

  • Find your Roll Number or All India Rank (AIR) on the PDF document

  • Download the Seat Allotment order

MCC announces the NEET counselling result dates for each round along with the schedule or the important dates. In general, the NEET counselling result or the seat allotment result is released within five to seven days of the round commencement.

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, is conducting the NEET PG Counselling for Tamil Nadu for admission to Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS)/Diploma Courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges. Dr M.G.R. Medical University will administer admissions for government seats in self-financing medical colleges.

DMER Chennai has allowed free exit only after Round-I of Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling. Candidates who participate in Round-2, the mop-up round, and stray vacancy round are not allowed to make a free exit. If thet do not join the allotted institite, their Registration fee, security deposit and tuition fees will be forfeited by the counselling conducting body.

 At the time of Application all candidates must pay the application fee of INR 3,000/-. It is a Non- Refundable application fee. The Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe candidates of Tamil Nadu native are exempted from payment of the cost of the application. The prospectus can be downloaded online, free of cost from the official website, tnmedicalselection.net. ) At the time of registration for counseling, all candidates must pay for the counseling process INR 1000/- ( Rupees One Thousand only).

Yes, DMER Chennai will release provisional allotment order for TN NEET PG medical counselling after releasing the seat allotment result for each round. Candidates will be able to download the provisional allotment order from the official website, tnmedicalselection.net in online mode only. DMER Chennai will not send the provisional allotment order personally by email, post or any other means.
