Yes, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is indeed required if you want to secure a seat in the B.Tech programme at NSHM Durgapur.
You might be glad to know that there is one more exam that grants admission directly to the second year i.e. the third semester of the course. Through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET), you can get admission to some of the B.Tech courses at NSHM Durgapur. 5 courses in B.Tech require WBJEE JELET and the eligibilty is Diploma in Engineering.
We advise you to go through the courses offered in B.Tech and decide which programme

Every programme at the undergraduate level is one of a kind and NSHM-Durgapur is not as expensive as other institutions and colleges. It is hard to say if UG courses at NSHM Durgapur are expensive in general as the fee changes and is different for every other course.
- B.Tech: INR 3.52 Lakhs to INR 3.85 Lakhs
- B.Sc: INR 2.13 Lakhs to INR 3.63 Lakhs
- BBA: INR 2.6 Lakhs to 3.6 Lakhs
- BOPTM: INR 4.38 Lakhs
- BCA: INR 3.4 Lakhs
- BHMCT: INR 4.4 Lakhs

Hello,
The eligibility criteria for most undergraduate courses is 10+2 passed from any recognised board in India or equivalent with English. Beyond this general requirement, certain courses demand a particular overall class 12th percentage and other specific subjects with some different necessities.
If you are eyeing a seat in the B.Parm program, B.Sc. in Yoga, B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering or a Diploma in CE or ME then make sure to search for these programs thoroughly.

The college has released the overall placement statistics for the academic year 2022-23 (including all the associated schools). So far, more than 1,900 students have been placed during NSHM Durgapur placements 2023. Over 300 recruiters participated in the placement drive and successfully placed 95.6% of the batch. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Mahindra, TCS, etc.! Campus is placed 68th in the NIRF pharmacy discipline rating too.

- Average Package: INR 5.73 LPA.
- Highest Package: INR 11.25 LPA.
NSHM Knowledge Campus Durgapur has a placement and training cell that helps students in learning the placement procedure. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Mahindra, TCS, etc. So placements are good in NSHM Durgapur.

Yes, NIT Durgapur has very good placement. Last year for CSE Branch, average salary was around INR 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 12.47 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Genpact, Infosys, etc., so B.Tech CSE have a better placement rate than B.Tech ESE at NSHM Durgapur. In ESE, The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA and the average salary package offered is 6.8 LPA.

Yes NSHM Durgapur offer better placements than AIEMD - Aryabhatta Institute of Engineering and Management. Because NSHM Knowledge Campus Durgapur has released its overall Placement statistics for batch 2023 for all the associated schools. Till now, 1,900+ Students have been placed. 300+ Recruiters participated in the Placement Drive and placed 95.6% of the batch. Compare to this college AIEMD have somelittle low placements. So no worries about the both 2 colleges.!

Yes, the NSHM Knowledge and Black Rock Campus in Durgapur is well-known for its excellent job placement chances. All eligible students receive placement assistance from the top companies. the highest package is 11.25 LPA. Average package is 5.73 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, SAP, HCL Technologies etc.

Candidates taking the JEE Main 2024 exam this year can go through the list of colleges accepting JEE Main 60 percentile for admission to B.Tech programmes in any college. There are 200 seats available in Indian Naval Academy for B.Tech entry i.e. the intake strength is 200. And there are so many private colleges too, for getting admission in any branch.!

Qualifying entry requirement: WBJEE and JEE (main). Admission to second year of B.Tech programme (Lateral Entry) is based on qualifying JELET. So JEE required for B Tech at NSHM Durgapur.
For direct admission :- Candidates who have Passed/Appeared 10th standard with English, Physical Science & Mathematics with at least 35% marks (without additional subject) in aggregate without rounding up and required valid JEXPO Rank (subject to approval of WBSCTE).
