The admission criteria for B.Sc. Nursing programs in India may vary from state to state and from institute to institute. However, in general, most institutes and states have their own criteria for admission into B.Sc. Nursing programs. For example, some institutes and states may require the candidate to have passed the 12th class examination with a minimum percentage of marks, while others may require the candidate to have appeared and qualified in a relevant entrance examination. For B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing:
Gender:Only female candidates will be eligible to apply. Nationality:Applying candidates must be an Indian citizen. Age Limit:Candidate applying must have attained the age of 17 years as on the 31st December, 2021.
Qualifying Exam:Candidate must have passed his 10+2 level exam or its equivalent form a recognised board or authority.
Subjects: Candidate must have passed with the compulsory subjects of Physics Biology Chemistry and English. Minimum Marks: Candidate must have passed with aggregate marks of 55% in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English (50% for ST/SC). Appearing Candidates:Candidates those are appearing in the last year of their 10+2 level exam can also apply. For B.Sc. Post Basic Nursing:
Qualifying Exam:Candidates must have passed their 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from a recognised board or university. Candidates those have passed 10+1 on or before 1989 are also eligible to apply. Registration: Candidate must be a registered midwife and registered nurse with the State Nursing council. One should have a Diploma in general nursing and midwifery from any institution recognised by the Indian nursing council. In case of male nurses, (if passed before implementation of new integrated course in 2003), besides being registered as a nurse with the State Nursing Council, should have obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and instead of Training in Midwifery, training in any subject out of following, for a period of six months: I) O. T. Techniques, ii) Ophthalmic Nursing, iii) Leprosy Nursing, iv) TB Nursing, v) Psychiatric Nursing, vi) Neurological and Neuro Surgical Nursing, vii) Community Health Nursing, viii) Cancer Nursing, ix) Orthopaedic Nursing.

The minimum cutoff marks for B.Sc nursing is 45% marks in 12th for general category, for sc/st minimum marks required is 40% .
Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
Student shall be medically fit.
Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
Student shall be admitted once in a year.
