Nursing is one of the noblest professions in the world. Everywhere, nurses are considered to be caring individuals that help the sick and empathize towards them. They are the largest group that works in the health care sector. Nursing courses deals with the study of taking care of sick people. Some of the best nursing colleges conduct entrance exams to help shortlist applicants. There are others that take direct admissions too. Following is a list of a few entrance exams.
AIIMS Entrance Exam- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi is one of the best medical colleges in the country. It conducts entrance exams for its B.Sc nursing and B.Sc. nursing post basic course. The exam is usually conducted in June. AFMC Entrance Exam Armed Forces Medical College conducts an entrance exam for its B.Sc nursing course. JIPMER Entrance Exam Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research is considered to be one of the best institutes in the country.
Lady Harding's Medical College - This College situated in Delhi also conducts entrance exams for admission to its B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing course. There are other entrance exams conducted by each state for admissions to their affiliated colleges.
Eligibility Criteria:
For B.Sc nursing, the candidate should have passed 12th standard. The aggregate marks required depend on the prerequisite of the university. Also, the candidate should have taken biology, physics and chemistry during 12th standard. The candidate should be at least 17 years old at the time of admission. Physical fitness is important for those wishing to join AFMC. For B.Sc nursing post basic, the candidate should have completed 12th standard and have a Diploma GNM Diploma. She should also have experience of around two years in the profession. The candidate may also be a 10th class pass with a GNM Diploma and a minimum of five years of experience in the profession. There is no upper age limit for admission to this course.

B.Sc. Nursing is a Bachelor degree programme offered at the university level The undergraduate nursing programme is broad-based education within an academic framework specially directed to the development of critical thinking skills, competence and standards required for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in national health policy 2002 B.Sc. Nursing programme prepares its graduates to become an exemplary citizen by adhering to a code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal social and professional obligations so as to respond to national aspirations These graduate nurses are prepared to work as a care provider or educator or coordinator or advocator or researcher or counselor & administrator etc. They can become post graduate nurse after completing the M.Sc. Nursing and M.Phil & Ph.D. Nursing and become nursing faculty work as senior nursing managers in hospitals and as programme coordinators in various projects and researchers
Eligibility
As per INC Guidelines
Sr. Secondary (10+2) with minimum 45% marks, PCB and English at Secondary level Minimum age 17 years.

Both courses have their own importance but I would go for BPT. Successful graduates of the course are lucratively employed in areas such as hospitals health institutes fitness centers private clinics etc. With an average annual initial salary ranging between INR 2 and 8 Lacs depending upon the candidates' expertise in the field and relevant skillset.
Physiotherapy colleges generally offer the Bachelor of Physiotherapy BPT which requires 50 percent marks in 12 Science stream Hospitals prefer BPT graduates to B.Sc. Graduates. For this field, the former is a more in-depth and pertinent course. A one-year Diploma in Physiotherapy DPT will also grant access into BPT physiotherapy courses. Further studies involve the two year Master of Physiotherapy MPT.
