However, the cut off of the JEE Main for Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering is different every year, which wholly depends upon the number of applicants and the difficulty level of the exam and how much of the available seats are filled. The cut off in popular branches of Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering is higher than less competitive ones. One should get a seat at SPCE through JEE Main by attaining ranks at or below the SPCE prescribed cutoff rank during counseling. Food quality in the hostel mess in SPCE is quite acceptable for most of the students. It provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. The environment for food preparation is hygienic, and the place where the dishes are served is also clean. The taste might or might not be good, but it should not be a major concern because, according to the college management, a meal is nutritious and balanced, so better for everyone's health. In addition, management often takes ideas from the students concerning improving the quality of food and hence ensuring that it is of high standards by the residents.
