Hi.
These special seats do not reduce the regular seat count — they are over and above the standard intake shown in the official seat matrix during NIPER JEE counselling.
You still need valid qualification and NIPER JEE rank to be eligible for regular and most supernumerary categories. For certain sponsored or foreign nationals, additional criteria or sponsorship documentation may be needed.
The exact number of special seats can vary each year and the details are published in the NIPER JEE information brochure or public notices before counselling.

Hi.
Selecting a specialisation at NIPER Ahmedabad is not a completely open choice; it is a merit-based process governed by specific rules. While you can list any specialisation as a preference, your final allotment depends on three critical factors:
1. Your NIPER JEE Rank
The counseling is strictly merit-based. Students with higher ranks (lower numbers) get the first pick. If the seats in a popular branch like Pharmaceutics or Pharmacology are filled by candidates with better ranks than yours, you will have to choose from the remaining available options.
2. Qualifying Degree Eligibility

Hi.
If there are vacant seats left after the state counselling rounds, MET may offer admission directly through the institute based on merit — but this is only after the official centralised rounds are done.
You would typically have to register with the institute's admission cell and meet the eligibility criteria.
This is not a completely separate “no eligibility requirement” seat — you still must meet the minimum academic requirements (10+2 science).

Hi.
5 % of seats (over and above the regular seat matrix) are reserved for:
Foreign nationals
OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) holders
PIO (Person of Indian Origin) candidates
These seats do not count against the general seats and are separate from the usual counselling pool.

Hi.
Results
After the NIPER JEE exam (typically held in June), the results and merit lists for M.S. (Pharm.)/M.Pharm are usually released in late June.
For example, for the 2025 cycle, results and merit lists were published on 21 June 2025.
For the 2026 cycle, results are expected to be released a few weeks after the exam, following the same pattern (result dates are often announced on the official NIPER JEE site shortly after the exam).
Counselling
Counselling for MS Pharma/M.Pharm admissions usually occurs after the results are declared:
In the 2025 cycle, counselling was scheduled on 20–21 July 2025 based on rank lists.

Hi.
Recent placement data show high placement percentages (often around or above 90 % for those who opt for placement) for postgraduate programmes, with a healthy median package in the range of several Lacs per annum.
Many students secure offers from core pharma companies through the campus drives orchestrated by the Placement Cell.
