PSU has built residence halls on its campus that offer suite-style, apartment-style, and traditional accommodation options. The rooms are well-furnished and have study desks, beds, wardrobes, and chairs. Amenities such as parking, laundry services, WIFI, kitchens, etc., are provided to students who choose on-campus accommodation. The accommodation costs and options for the academic year 2023-24 are given below:

More than 7,000 students study at PSU belonging to 36 states and 43 countries. About 700 students make up the international student body with a 100% graduation rate. For Fall 2020, the university enrolled 6,645 students and in Spring 2021, it enrolled 6,398 students.

International applicants can apply to the university directly either through its online application portal or via physical mail by downloading a physical form. As SAT/ACT scores are optional for international undergraduates, the chances of selection are higher if their GPA is 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale. However, students who aim for scholarships need to submit these scores. For Fall 2020, the university had an acceptance rate of 94% with admitted freshmen scoring 916 to 1185 in the SAT and 19 to 24 in the ACT. Also, students from non-English speaking countries should focus on scoring maximum marks in the English language proficiency tests to increase their chances of admission.

Some scholarships might offer higher amounts, but they are specific to certain departments or colleges. Any supporting application material submitted to the university is non-returnable. International students need to submit an official transcript from each institution they attended. Translated degree certificate or Diploma is required that states degree received, degree confirmed date, and major. If applying online, students are encouraged to send copies of their coursework (unofficial transcripts) as soon as the application has been submitted, or mail them with their other application materials so that an initial review of their past study can begin. International undergraduate applicants should have a US-equivalent high school Diploma with a GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0, or students must have completed their high school from an accredited international college or university with similar GPA requirements. International students need not submit ACT/GRE/ Apart from this, any one of the English exam scores is required to meet the language proficiency.
