Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging (PGDP) at IIP: - The course is suitable for fresh graduates in science / engineering who desire to make a career in packaging. This course is open for all graduates in science, technology, engineering and allied fields. The admission is through an all India level entrance examination conducted in June every year in all metro cities. Admission forms are available from the month of May and the course begins in August.
The course is conducted at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The course has 4-semesters. 3 Semesters are at the Campus of the Institute, while during the 4th semester, students work on projects in different industries in the country. After successfully passing the required examinations held in every semester and industrial projects, the students are awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging. The qualification equips them to pursue a career in packaging in different types of industries in India and overseas.
The students join industries in various disciplines such as quality testing and evaluation, production and packaging, sales and marketing, packaging design & development and allied fields.
This course has been conducted for over 25-years. Many past students are working in reputed National and International companies that come for campus placements regular.
So in my opinion this is the best course because packaging industries are increasing daily in India, so there is a need of graduates having the knowledge of packaging, so the industries are preferring most of the graduates from Indian Institute Of Packaging, there may be less salary in starting for who studied post graduate diploma in packaging but in future they have definite growth.

The programme comprises of classroom sessions by the Institutes own and guest faculty, with visits to industries to study various packaging processes and technologies.
This course is open for all graduates in science, technology, engineering and allied fields. The admission is through an all India level entrance examination conducted in June every year in all metro cities. Admission forms are available from the month of May and the course begins in August.
So if you are graduate in Science, Technology or engineering than eligible for this course subjected to clearing the entrance exam.

Bachelors in Engineering is an excellent course with good career and future. Printing technology is a good option too. However while looking for jobs, do a thorough research on what all core companies are available for your course and of course the list of IT companies that you can appear for the interviews. Do a way out to take up the interviews either through off campus or on campus and have an awareness about previous years placements for your course and college. And do the " gap - filling" in knowledge and technical skills expectation for each of the companies you want to appear for.
Salary, for a fresher I believe is approximately 20, 000 - 25, 000 INR per month. This is an approximation and in a general sense.
However depending on the roles and responsibilities given to individual and the category of the companies that one gets recruited to will decide the salary and can get easily and significantly enhanced.
