The eligibility criteria differs for each course offered through PU MET exam. However, the basic eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any discipline.
- They must have secured at least 50% aggregate or the candidate must have passed the final examination either from (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England or (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India or
- Candidate must have passed the AMIE examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate or the Diploma examination with a minimum of 6

The PU MET application fee is different for different categories. The application fee for the General category students is INR 2,710 and the application fee for SC/ST/OBC categories is INR 1,355. Candidates can pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI or offline through e-challan from the SBI bank branch.

PU-MET exam is conducted in the paper-based test mode. The exam is conducted for 2 hours or 120 minutes. The exam has six sections and 200 questions. Each section has equal number of multiple-choice questions. Each question carries one mark and has four options each. There is no negative markings. The total marks in the PU MET exam is 200.

No, candidates who have appeared for the PU MET exam, and cleared the cutoff, will be required to appear for the further admission process, which includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept PU MET scores.

No, there is no provision of re-evaluation of the PU MET scores. Candidates can check their answers once the PU MET answer key is released and raise objections if there is an error. However, once the final answer key for PU MET is out, those answers will be considered final.
