Established in 1962,  Rabindra Bharati University is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. At present, the University has only one college affiliated with it, i.e. The Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship. The University is recognised by the UGC and is also accredited by NAAC. Yes, RBU offers 11 programmes in distance learning mode from its Salt Lake campus. These programmes are offered under the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) and are recognised by the Distance Education Council (DEC). In addition to this, candidates can also seek admission to distance programmes offered at RBU Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). There is no age bar for admission to distance courses and the courses offered through distance mode are MSW and MA in 10 different specialisations.
