The course is offered for three or four years. The syllabus is divided in six/eight semesters as per the specialisation chosen. It includes many core and additional subjects related to the course. Some first year Biotechnology subjects are Bioinformatics, Immunology, etc.

Seats in all specialisations are allocated on the basis of merit of last qualifying exam and performance in the PI round. Students can apply directly on the basis of Class 12 marks. No entrance exam is required for admissions.

After this, university shortlists some students on basis of last qualifying exam merit. Those students have to appear for a Personal Interview round. Students who clear all stages receive admission offer letter. Fee payment and document verification are last steps.

Yes, there are multiple hostels provided by the university. Opting for hostel is optional for students. Those who want to apply for accommodation have to pay extra charges for it separately. Students have to submit hostel admission fee (INR 15,000) and refundable caution money (INR 10,000) at the time of hostel admissions.

The total fee is between INR 4.2 Lacs to INR 13.4 lakh. It also depends on the course. The fee structure includes many one-time refundable or annual components. Some one-time payable fee are registration fee (INR 10,000), admission fee (INR 60,000) and a prospectus & form fee of INR 1,500.

The eligibility is Class 12 with minimum 45% or 50% aggregate from a recognised university. Students from SC/ST/OBC - Non creamy layer category get a 5% relaxation on the minimum aggregate required.
