Candidates must get at least 45% of the possible points in their 10+2 coursework in Physics, Mathematics and one of Chemistry, Computer Science or another subject in order to be eligible for Techno Main Salt Lake's B.E./B.Tech programme (40% for reserved categories). WBJEE or JEE Main scores determine admission; WBJEE counseling fills 80% of seats, JEE Main fills 10% and management quota fills 10%. Depending on the branch, the 2024 WBJEE cutoff varied from 2,000 to 20,000 ranks. Verification of documents and counseling are necessary.

Although Techno Main Salt Lake offers connected off-campus housing, it does not have on-campus dorms. Room, food, lodging, and washing are all included in the hostel fees, which come to about INR 5,500 a month, or about INR 2.64 Lacs over four years. AC and non-AC rooms, Wi-Fi, and round-the-clock CCTV surveillance are among the amenities and anti-ragging policies are in place. Although the most basic amenities are usually offered students describe varying experiences, pointing to problems with food quality and upkeep in some PGs.

To be eligible for admission to the BE/BTech course at Techno Main Salt Lake, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible students will have to appear for either the WBJEE or the JEE Main exam and score valid marks to be eligible for the course. To apply, the candidates will have to visit the official website, fill out the application form, and attend the counseling. Candidates can also apply directly on the official website of the institute for admission under the management quota.

The WBJEE cutoff for Technical Main Salt Lake varies by courses such as if you are looking for cse, then it must be under 6500. If you are looking for courses like ece/it, then it must be under 20,000. If you are looking for courses like me/ce/ee, then it must be under 100,000.

The important dates to the WBJEE application process for admission in Techno Main Salt Lake are
- Registration- 22 jan to 23 feb 2025
- Correction - 25 feb to 27feb 2025
- Admit card - 17 april 2025
- Exam - 27 april 2025
- Result - Expected by the last week of June 2025
- Counselling - july 2025

Yes, you can get direct admission to Techno Main Salt Lake. The institution offers various courses in the fields of Engineering, Management, Science, and Computer Science. To be eligible for admission to any course, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in the previous qualification in a relevant stream from any recognised institute. Admission to BCA, BSc, and BHM courses is not based on any entrance exams. Although admissions to all other courses are done based on scores obtained in entrance exams JEE Main for BTech, MAT for MBA, etc. 10% of seats reserved for direct admission under the management quota.
