Shivaji University, located in Kolhapur, was established in 1962. The university is accredited with Grade A by the NAAC. The university affiliates 276 colleges that are spread over three districts of Maharashtra, namely, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara. Shivaji Uiversity has better infrstruture than most of DU's colleges. As for the placements, the university offers a decent placements package for its professonal cousres. In 2023, a total of 1291 students enrolled and 25 students were placed during Shivaji University placements 2023.
