The mode of SDM Institute for Management Development course admissions is online. SDM Mysore admissions are entrance, interview round, and merit-based. The accepted entrance exams are MAT, XAT,  CAT, CMAT,  ATMA, and others. Candidates applying through the CAT must first register for the CAT exam. Then appear for the CAT exam. Then with valid scores apply on the official website of the college.

There are a total of 240 seats for the PGDM programme at SDMIMD Mysore. The sanctioned seat intake is considered during the seat allotment procedure.
