Marks required to get in SGSITS may vary according to your category and gender. If you are from general category and have 90+ percentile you can easily get in. For reserved category it would be lesser. For top branches like CS and IT would be 96+ percentile

College has a hostel but the allotment is done on the basis of marks obtained inJEEmains.If you are able to get it then it would be great . While there are a lot of rooms available on rent inside Rani sati gate. Some PG's near by are Shreeji paying guest, Goyal boys hostel, Raghuvanshi hostel, Yash PG, Gayatri girls hostel.

College life at SGSITS (Shri G.S. Institute of Technology and Science) is a vibrant and exciting experience. SGSITS is a well-known engineering institute located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. The college is located in the heart of the city hence every thing is very near to it be it railway station, shopping malls, restaurants. Though acadmics might be a bit hectic here with strict attendence and a lot of assignments followed by lab work. Yes, a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering programme is available at the Shri G.S. Institute of Technology & Science in Indore. It is a four-year, full-time undergraduate programme. In Shri GS Institute of Technology and science, there is no specific cultural event. But there are some cultural clubs present in college which conducts thir respective events. This event conducts for different activities like dance singing and other activities as well.

In Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science the food is not good. In the hostel, mess food is not good. In dinning hall which is also present in the college campus where you will get decent food but you have to pay extra for eating in dining hall.

In shri GS Institute of Technology andScience.the CGPA is calculated by taking the average of the SGPA of all the eight semesters and SGPA is calculated on the basis of the marks in mid semester exams, end semester exams, internals and external practicals as well.

There is no particular dress code in the college. Students are allowed to wear what they want. However during practical exams and also during internal viva students are expected to come in formal. On the rest days students are allowed to wear clothes according to their choice. There is no strictness regarding clothes or hairstyle in the college.

For first year I would say try to explore the college as well as the city indore. College is a very new experience for everyone. Try making new friends and explore the city. A lot of places near the college are worth going. Some places near the college are chappan, TI mall, Starbucks. For academics I would say try maintaining good attendance atleast 75 percent. Do all the assignments and lab work on time. Try being in the good books of the professor for good sessionals. Try to join different clubs and explore as much as you can. Be regular in your studies. Prepare seriously for mid semester exams. Stay in company of good and hardworkin
