Hello I am Varsha Gupta As a student of SRMU, I genuinely feel inspired by the success stories of our Polytechnic alumni. Over the years, SRMU Polytechnic has helped many students build strong technical skills and start their careers with confidence. With more than job offers from reputed companies and students being placed in organizations like Subros, TCS and other leading industries, our alumni have proved the strength of practical learning at SRMU.The hands on labs, project based teaching and continuous support from the placement cell have shaped many Diploma graduates into skilled professionals. The specialisations in AI and Data Science offered by Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) for the CSE/related programmes contribute positively towards placements but like any institution, their effectiveness depends on how the student leverages them.

Why the specialisations help:

1. SRMU has defined programmes such as B.Tech in CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) and BCA in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, where the curriculum emphasises emerging technologies (e.g., neural networks, deep-learning, big data, computer vision) and hands-on labs. 

2. The placement cell at SRMU reports strong efforts: partnerships with industry, placement-assistance training and a claimed 90 % placement rate in CMM level-5 companies. 

3. For students specialising in AI/Data Science, the domain itself is in demand, which adds value to their CV and improves chances of being recruited for data-/AI-focused roles.

Why the specialisations are moderately effective (and what to watch):

1. While the highest packages at SRMU have gone up (e.g., one report shows a the highest package of ₹30 LPA in 2025) the average package remains modest  for many programmes.

2. The placement statistics vary significantly by branch, batch, student performance and actual uptake of internship/project experience which are critical in AI/Data Science roles.

3. The specialisation alone does not guarantee placement in top companies or high salary: students must build strong programming, analytics, machine learning skills, project work, internships and soft skills to stand out
   In short, SRMU's AI & Data Science specialisations provide a good foundation and reasonable placement support, especially if the student actively engages with labs, internships and industry aligned projects. For excellent placements (top companies, high salary), the student will need to go the extra mile (strong performance, strong portfolio, relevant internships) rather than rely solely on the specialisation label.

At Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, agriculture students are prepared to become both skilled farmers and innovative entrepreneurs. The university's B.Sc. Agriculture programme follows the ICAR guidelines and includes modern subjects like Geoinformatics, Nanotechnology, and Precision Farming, where students learn to use drones, GPS and data analysis for smart farming.

Along with technology, SRMU also focuses on entrepreneurship development. Students are trained in agribusiness management, marketing, and communication, helping them to start their own ventures. Through hands-on training, fieldwork and industrial exposure, they gain real world experience under the “Lab to Land” and RAWE programs.
