Sona College of Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
| Courses | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate must have completed Diploma/B.Sc with at least 50% marks (45% aggregate marks backward class including backward class muslim and 40% marks MBC/ DNC/ SC / SCA / ST) also B.Sc candidate must have studied Mathematics as subject at 10+2 or graduation level. |
| MCA | Candidate who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible. AMIE candidate must have 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible. AMIE candidate must have 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field. |
| M.E./M.Tech | Candidate who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible. AMIE candidate must have 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field. |
