No, SOT PDEU is not hard to get for dedicated students. Students who are determined can easily get admission in this college. The mode of SOT PDEU course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are ACPC Main, GUJCET, ACPC Admission, and others. Candidates applying through JEE Main must first register for the accepted entrance exam. Then apply on the official website with valid scores by filling out the application form with required information.

SOT PDEU offers postgraduate and undergraduate courses to students. These courses are provided across the Engineering and various other streams. At the undergraduate level, the college offers BSc and BTech courses. BTech is available in various specialisations, namely Civil Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mechanical Engineering, and others. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MSc and MTech courses to students. M.Tech is available in 8 specialisations.

SOT PDEU offers residential facility on campus. Each hostel block of the SOT PDEU offers a variety of academic and social oriented activities. Living in an SOT PDEU hostel is quite comfortable for students. Students feel happy living in these hostels as the college provides all the necessary facilities to students.

There are a total of 90 seats in SOT PDEU BSc programme. The intake is 30 for each BSc specialisations. The intake is subject to change at the discretion of the university. Candidates are offered seat in BSc based on their merit in the qualifying exam and performance in the personal interview round.

School of Technology, PDEU offers admission to PhD programme based on Written Aptitude Test or WAT conducted by the school. In WAT, 50% weightage is given to research methodology and 50% to subject specific question. Selected candidates are further required to pass the personal interview round. 30% weightage is given to PI in the selection process. Aspirants with a valid score UGC-NET/ CSIR/ SLET/ GATE are exempted from appearing for WAT.
