There are scholarships to students based on their ranking in such entrance exams as JEE Main, EAMCET and SRUEE entrance tests taken by SR University. The scholarship amount is variable in most cases as they are partially exempt or the entire tuition fee based on the rank secured or the performance of the student. In addition, SRU offers financial assistance to students belonging to economically weaker sections and special scholarships for those who excel in games or any other extracurricula

Admission to B.Tech. programs at SR University is open to all those candidates who have completed 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. On an average, general category students will need an aggregate of more than 50% marks, though relaxation is expected for the reserved categories, and admission would depend on their performance in entrance exams like JEE Main, EAMCET, or SR University's very own entrance exam-SRUEE. Higher ranks in these exams improve one's chance for securing a seat and thus vary very minutely from course to course, depending on the specialization of the B.Tech.
