Yes, in St Xavier university it has some criteria which all have to follow Successful completion of any Undergraduate Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognised University (Approved by UGC), with a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade point) in the aggregate. (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and Christian candidates).

In St Xavier University Candidates must have graduated with any degree of a minimum of 3 years. Candidates must have an aggregate of at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST students. In St Xavier university it is 100000 (one Lacs rupees) in each year from second year onwards. Security Deposit (Refundable) of Rs 10000 (Ten thousand rupees) The annual fee of Rs. 100000 (one Lacs rupees) for every year can be also paid in two equal Installments (optional) as per University guidelines.
In calcutta university it's .BA 600 - 3.5 L so calcutta university is more expensive than st Xavier University

One should not expect much placement opportunities from a tier 2 or tier 2 level colleges.Other than top NLU and some top ranked NIRF law colleges there are very few placements in law colleges .But, law has vast opportunities.

Yes, this college offers hostel facility but you can admission in hostel only if you are a student of this college.
You have to fill the application form.
Prefrence given to outside students.
Various facilities like balcony, 2/3-bed rooms with common toilets.
All rooms have basic facilities like mirror, wash basins, drying facilities, curtains, lock are available.
