No, the Prestige Institute of Management and Research is very affordable compared to SIMS. Prestige Institute of Management and Research has low fees of nearly INR 1,59,000 per year for the regular programme of the MBA while specialisation fees are slightly higher than regular. While SIMS has very high fees for the normal MBA course which is INR 2,25,000.
Additionally, the hostel, mess, books, and study materials, these costs may vary depending on individual needs.

I would rather say SIMS has better placements than the Prestige Institute of Management and Research. The average package of SIMS is 10 LPA while the top package is 13 LPA.
Whereas the Prestige Institute of Management and Research has an average package of 5 LPA and the top package is 12 LPA.
So you can clearly see the difference in which institute has better placements.

Nearly both the institutes are better. But I would prefer the SIMS as it has an established reputation over the PIMR and good placements. But SIMS has some weaknesses too like it has greater fees compared to the PIMR and also it is less focused on entrepreneurship skills.
While PIMR focuses on more practical learning and skill development it is a relatively newer institute compared to SIMS.
So, the SIMS is few better than the PIMR. I hope it helps you to choose the right institute.
