The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course you must have completed your Higher Secondary (+2) Examination or equivalent (Diploma degree), with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination.

Comparison between Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC) and Techno India:
1. JGEC is a government institute whereas Techno India is private. This means the total expenditure in JGEC (including college and mess fees for 4 years) is about 1.8-2.5 lacs for non-core department and less than 1.5 lacs for core departments. But in Techno India, it will be around 4 lacs (only the college fee for four years).
2. JGEC is one of the best government institutes in West Bengal.
3. JGEC has scenic beauty but away from Kolkata. Techno India is in Kolkata.
4. Placements: Placements are more or less the same in state engineering colleges. JGEC

Yes, you can study cse from any TIG college. Any college in Techno India group gives u more chance in terms of placement.
