As one of the oldest Engineering institutions in the county, NIE Mysore has a 79-year old legacy of providing some of the finest courses in Engineering, Technology, and Management. The faculty at the institute is talented, PhD-holding, and with vast field experience. NIE Mysore is seen as a decent option for BE, MTech, MBA, etc., courses due to the top-notch amenities and placement ecosystem at the institute. NIE Mysore is an eminent Engineering institute located in the culturally-rich city of Mysore in Karnataka. Students get access to a large number of courses from the different departments at NIE Mysore. National Institute of Engineering, Mysore has put in place 2 separate campuses for imparting quality technical education to students, including in Management studies.
Students are sure to appreciate the state-of-the-art infrastructure and the conducive learning environment. NIE Mysore has been accredited Grade-B+ by the NAAC for its higher education quality.

India Today is one of the many renowned ranking bodies that has ranked the BE programme offered by NIE Mysore. As per the available data, in 2024, the institute was ranked #16 in the 'Engineering (Private)' category.
Apart from this, the institute has also been ranked by NIRF. As per NIRF Rankings 2024, the institute stood at #151-200 under the 'Engineering' category.

As per NIRF Rankings 2024 for the Engineering category, NIE Mysore's BE programme ranked #193. Earlier, in 2023, the institute was positioned #151-200 under the same category. Upon comparing both year's rankings, it can be said that the institute has been able to maintain a stable position.
