Management quota admission is there at the Thiagarajar College of Madurai for some selected courses. Management quota seats are available for some of the undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs; the fees, however, may be higher when compared to regular seats.

Thiagarajar Engineering College accepts TNEA entrance exam scores, followed by a counselling process for admission to the BE course. As per the TNEA 2024 last-round cutoff, the closing ranks varied between 1561 and 12483, of which Computer Science and Engineering was the most deasirable BE specialisations among the General AI category students. The second most in-demand specialisation was Electronics and Communication Engineering with a closing cutoff of 2125.
